건축은 근본적으로 사회적인 것이다.
Architecture is fundamentally social.
건축은 우리 모두에 의한, 우리 모두를 위한 것이다. 건축은 우리의 존재 모든 순간에 우리의 삶을 형성한다.
Architecture is by us all, for us all. It shapes our lives at every step.
그러므로 건축은 보여 지는 것이 아닌 그 안의 내용이다.
Therefor Architecture is not appearance but content.
건축은 공간디자인이 아닌 시간디자인이다.
Architecture is not space design but time design.
건축은 경제적이 아닌 인본주의적이다.
Architecture is not economic but humanistic.
건축은 건축물디자인이 아닌 사회디자인이다.
Architecture is not building design but social design.
건축은 하나의 대상이 아닌 모든 것의 관계이다.
Architecture is not object but relationship.
건축은 하나의 건축물로 시작되거나 끝나는 것이 아니다.
Architecture does not begin nor end with building.
건축은 기능하기 위하여 존재하는 것이 아닌 영향을 미치기 위하여 존재한다.
Architecture does not exist to function but to influence.
건축은 조직화하기 위하여 존재하는 것이 아닌 가능성을 보여주기 위하여 존재한다.
Architecture does not exist to organize but to provide opportunity.
건축은 무엇을 제공하기보다는 가능하도록 하기 위하여 존재한다.
Architecture does not exist to serve but to enable.
건축은 도시와 단절된 관계를 가질 수 없다.
Architecture cannot be seen disconnected from Urbanism.
건축과 도시는 그들의 가치체계를 다시 공유할 수 있도록 하여야 한다,
Architecture and Urbanism have to establish again a shared core value system.
도시적 맥락과 단절된 채 이루어진 건축은, 그 도시에서 아무런 의미를 갖지 못 한다.
Architecture developed disconnected from its context is lost for the city.
건축적 스케일을 무시한 도시는 비인간적 도시이다.
Urbanism that ignores the architectural scale is inhumane.
건축은 문화적 행위이며, 건축은 정치적 행위이다.
Architecture is a cultural act;
건축이 문화적 행위이며 정치적 행위일 때 건축의 잠재력은 최대한 발휘된다.
Architecture is a political act. It has to be seen as such to develop its full potential.
건축은 결과가 아닌 과정이다.
Architecture is a process not a result.
이 모든 것이 건축을 근본적으로 사회적인 것으로 만든다.
All this makes Architecture fundamentally social.
